KARACHI: A woman gave birth to four babies - three baby boys and a girl - at the Zubeda Medical Center in Dhoraji Colony on Saturday.
The hospital’s doctors confirmed that Rukhsana, wife of Ibrahim Khan, a resident of Manzoor Colony, gave birth to quadruplets.
They said babies were physically fine but still under observation.
The doctors said the babies were normal but the next 24 hours were important for them. Two babies were being kept at the hospital’s intensive care unit while two were shifted to the Munawar Hospital.
Media sources said the family belonged to the low-income group and the Alamgir Welfare Trust was assisting in their medical expenses.
The woman already has four children. Earlier, on two separate occasions, two women, both from Balochistan, had given birth to five babies at the city’s hospital.
