Girls grab top three positions

The girl students once again surpassed the boys by achieving overall top three positions in the higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) Part-II annual examination of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Rawalpindi, which were held in April to June this year.

Provincial Minister for Labour Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was the chief guest at the result announcement ceremony on Saturday. Pakistan Green Task Force Chairman Jamal Nasir was also present on the occasion.

According to the result announced, the girls of Pre-Medical Group attained the overall first top three positions in the HSSC-II examination.

Student of Punjab College for Women, F-828, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, Yusra Bint-e-Hafeez (Roll No718704) achieved 1041 marks to grab overall first position in the board. She was followed by Nimra Mumtaz (Roll No 706663) of Munir Intermediate Girls College Mohalla Line Park, Chakwal, who securing 1040 marks got second position. The overall 3rd position in the examination was got by Maleeka Zamurad Khan (Roll No 706541) of Punjab College for Girls, Chakwal, who obtained 1034 marks.

Even in Pre-Engineering Group, girls proved too good for boys by clinching first three positions. Mahnoor Mahmood (Roll No 733559) of Jinnah Institute of Informatics for Girls 470-D, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, got 1025 marks to top this group. Similarly, Rimsha Tariq (Roll No 719351) of Punjab College for Women F-828, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, got 2nd position by getting 1021 marks. Maria Tariq (Roll No 719359) of Punjab College for Women F-828, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, got 1019 marks to gain 3rd position in the group.

In Pre-Engineering Group Boys, Muhammad Hanzla Aslam (Roll No 727863) of Jinnah Institute of Informatics 470-D, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, earned first position by getting 1018 marks. He was followed by Fahad Khan (Roll No.703643) of Cadet College Hassan Abdal, Attock, secured 1010 marks to obtain 2nd position among boys. The students of the same institution, Rao Maaz Bin Khalid (Roll No.703656) remained third by getting 1002 marks.

In Science General Group Girls, Sara Afzal (Roll No 719665) of Punjab College for Women, F-828, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, stood first with 993 marks. Bushra Ahmed (Roll No 719594) also of Punjab College for Women F-828, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, grabbed 2nd position by achieving 965 marks. Student of the same institution Komal Fayyaz (Roll No.719581) got 3rd position in this group by attaining 960 marks.

In Science General Group Boys, Muhammad Haseeb (Roll No. 73221) of Military College Murree, Upper Topa, Murree, remained 1st by securing 987 marks. Rehan Amin (Roll No 734141) of Punjab College (3-KM) Main G.T Road, Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi, got second position by getting 972 marks followed by Zeeshan Alam (Roll No 711588) of Kallar Kahar Science College for Boys Kallar Kahar, Chakwal, got 966 marks and remained 3rd among boys in this group.

Raja Ashfaq Sarward distributed medals and certificates among all the top position holders and congratulated them for achieving distinctions in the HSSC-II examination of RBISE through their hard work.
