16 die during Eid days

At least 16 people including five women lost their lives in different incidents in the provincial metropolis during the last three days of Eid. 

A mother of three children committed suicide by hanging herself from her Dupatta in Mughalpura area. The deceased was identified as Ulfat Bibi of Jameelabad Mughalpura. It was reported that the woman got depressed after having an exchange of hot words with her husband over a domestic issue. Later, she locked herself up in a room and hanged. 

A woman expired in a local hospital a few hours after her condition went critical at home in Subzazar area. The woman identified as Kulsoom Bibi from Kharak Subzazar. Kalsoom’s parents alleged that their son-in-law had murdered their daughter. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy to establish the cause of death.

A 26-year-old woman was poisoned to death by her husband in Factory Area. Accused Azam of Amarsadhu village Factory Area contracted love marriage with Kiran who hailed from Chiniot almost one and a half years back. On Chand Raat, victim Kiran was found dead in the house. Her parents accused the victim’s husband Azam of poisoning her to death with the abetment of his first wife. 

A 40-year-old man was shot dead by some people in the limits of Liaqatabad police station.

The victim was identified as Rafi. The victim’s brother Ashraf alleged that one Malik Aman and his accomplice had shot his brother to death over an old enmity. Police shifted the body to mortuary for autopsy and registered a murder cases against the murderers.

A 23-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in Defence A. The deceased identified as Qadeer hailed from Azad Kashmir and served here as a cook in a house in Defence A. On the day of incident, he was found hanging from a rope attached with the ceiling of his servant quarter. A 30-year-old man was killed by his friend in Sarwar Road area. The deceased identified as Qaisar Abbas hailed from Sargodha and worked here as a driver. On the day of incident, his brother Faisal found him lying dead in an under construction house in Sarwar Road area. He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced brought dead. Faisal accused one Shafqat of killing his brother. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.

A 30-year-old woman lost her life at the hands of some unidentified swindlers in Lytton Road area. The woman identified as Soman Bibi, who hailed from Faisalabad, was found lying unconscious near Chuburji. She was rushed to a local hospital where she expired.

A 40-year-old woman was found dead in her house in Gujarpura area. The deceased woman was identified as Rukhsana Bibi of Gujarpura.

A police constable lost his life in a road accident in the limits of Lytton Road police station. The deceased constable identified as Naveed was posted at Mozang police station.

A 26-year-old man was killed by a speeding car in the limits of Islampura police station. The victim was identified as Munir Shah.

A 35-year-old man lost his life at the hands of some unidentified swindlers in Data Darbar area. The victim identified as Fiaz hailed from Bilal Gunj.

A newborn baby was found dead in the limits of Islampura police station. Police suspected that an unidentified woman had thrown her illegitimate baby to conceal her sin.

A 35-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in Qila Gujar Singh area. The deceased was identified as Tariq. A 34-year-old, Awais, and Asif lost their lives in different road accidents in the limits of Raiwind and Kot Lakhpat respectively.

A 36-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Sanda and another man identified as Ameer Ali was recovered dead from Shadman area. Police shifted the bodies to morgue for autopsy to ascertain cause of deaths.
