ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mir Waiz Umer Farooq, has said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue before the world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly session.
The prime minister’s speech was a balanced one, in which he presented the Kashmir cause in an effective manner saying that Pakistan wanted a peaceful resolution of the issue, said Waiz while talking to a private TV channel.
Nawaz had proposed a four-point formula for defusing the tension between Pakistan and India.
Mir Waiz said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had given the message of peace to the world.
He said India would now not be able to escape from the dialogue process.
He said that Nawaz had expressed the desire to resolve all the issues through the dialogue process.
Nawaz had also made it clear that the problems in the world could not be resolved without ending brutalities in Kashmir and Palestine, Mir Waiz added.
