US asks Pakistan to stop terrorists attacking neighbouring country
WASHINGTON: The US State Department spokesman Mark Toner has said that US enjoys strong bilateral relations with Pakistan but Islamabad has to take action against groups involved in terrorism in its neighbouring country.The spokesman said tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia over the safety of pilgrims on the eve of Haj is a cause of tension, adding that the differences between the two countries are also threat for the region.
According to a US TV channel, Mark Toner during the media briefing in Wessington said US will continue cooperation with Pakistan to eliminate terrorism. He said Pakistan has full authority to take action against any terrorist group.
He said Islamabad is taking action against militants and terrorist and it is hoped that Pakistan will also take action against the groups which are using its border for attacks in its neighbouring country.
