PIC staff rewarded for best performance

Adviser to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Kh. Salman Rafique and Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Secretary Najam Ahmed Shah distributed cash prizes and appreciation certificates among the staff of Punjab Institute of Cardiology which was announced by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during his visit to PIC on their best performance on August 28.

According to a handout issued here on Monday, a ceremony was arranged in which chief executive of PIC Prof. Nadeem Hayat Malik, MS Dr. Dildar Ahmad Khan, faculty members, nurses and paramedics participated. Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Secretary Najam Ahmed Shah while addressing the ceremony said that he was feeling honoured that the chief minister had announced Rs.5 lakh as cash prize and appreciation to the administration and the staff of the institution on their best performance.

Najam Ahmed Shah said that PIC had set an excellent example of good working for other institutions. He said that after operational of newly constructed 100 beds emergency, patients would feel a big relief and improvement in their treatment very soon.

Kh. Salman Rafique while appreciating performance of Punjab Institute of Cardiology said that PIC had played a role of nursery from where cardiac surgeons and cardiac physicians have been trained and now serving people across the country. Kh. Salman Rafique further said that Health Department has pre-qualified firms for the procurement of quality medicines for the patients. He appreciated and congratulated the administration, doctors, nurses and paramedics.

Prof. Nadeem Hayat Malik termed the success of PIC as a result of teamwork and reiterated that the doctors, nurses and paramedics of Punjab Institute of Cardiology would continue their efforts with the spirit of humanitarian services.

On this occasion, Kh. Salman Rafique and Secretary Najam Ahmed Shah distributed among cash prizes and appreciation letters among the officials and nursing staff.
