Six terrorists killed in Karachi

KARACHI: Paramilitary soldiers killed two alleged terrorists in an encounter in New Karachi late on Wednesday night. The spokesman for the Sindh Rangers said the terrorists were involved in sectarian killings in the city. The Rangers personnel raided a hideout and killed two terrorists in retaliatory fire.
Separately, four suspected terrorists were killed in shootouts with police in City District. The first encounter took place in the jurisdiction of the Mochko Police Station in which three terrorists of the Uzair Group of Lyari were shot dead.
The dead were said to have been involved in target killings, including the killing of some CID police officials, in Hub Chowki area three years back.
In another encounter, an alleged assassin, named Abbas, was killed in the Docks police limits. He was involved in over a dozen killings, including sectarian and police killings. He was paid by a banned organization for carrying out the killings. Grenades and four 9mm pistols were recovered from his possession.
