PFA seals many food outlets

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed many food outlets including a renowned dairy company for violation of SOPs of the authority Wednesday. 

The PFA officials said Director Operation Ayesha Mumtaz along with her team raided Premier Dairies Pvt Ltd at Defence Road and found several violations of SOPs including presence of expired items, improper arrangements to stop insects, non-tractability of raw material, use of wrong address on labels and improper storage of food pulp. Following these violations, the team sealed the factory. 

Other PFA teams fined Dewan Foods on Ring Road and sealed Alrahman Traders at Naseerabad. Officials said PFA will continue its drive against food manufacturers and sellers without any discrimination.
