Report to be submitted to Bilawal next month
PPP KP’s reorganisation
NOWSHERA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and former senior minister Rahimdad Khan on Sunday said that the report about the party reorganisation would be submitted to the party chairman in September.
Rahimdad Khan, who is PPP convener of the organising committee in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that report about elections of provincial, divisional and district chapters had been completed, which would be submitted in first week of September.
He said that the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari wanted the party regain its position at the grassroots level. He added that all the conspiracies against PPP would be foiled.Ninety percent work about the reorganisation had been completed, he maintained.
The PPP leader said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Sindh government were two separate entities. He lauded the federal government steps against the MQM and added that maintaining law and order in Sindh was the responsibility of the provincial government.
The activists of the PPP, Nowshera district chapter, through a secret ballot recommended names for senior positions of the party in the province.The PPP workers nominated Rahimdad Khan and Noor Alam Khan for the party provincial president and Tariq Khattak for general secretary. The sources said that more than 800 party workers participated in the party convention. The workers nominated Misbahuddin for president of the Peshawar division and Major (r) Baseer Khattak for president Nowshera district.
