Counter-militancy efforts

Finally, the government has initiated efforts to to strengthen counterterrorism policies. One of good step has been asking Lt-Gen (r) Nasser Janjua to monitor progress on the implementation of NAP.

Even Punjab has been largely targeted by extremist groups. Yet, nothing has been done to stem militant groups there. There is a dire need to crack down on the banned militant and sectarian outfits operating in Pakistan.
