It is true that women in our society treated as second class citizens. They are harassed at the work place, subjected to violence at home, deprived of their due right of inheritance/education, and killed in the name of honour.
Despite our constitutional guarantees, many pieces of domestic legislation for the protection of women against abuse and violence, such abuse continues. A positive change in the mindset of our society remains a challenge for us.
