The Punjab government approved three development schemes of different sectors at an estimated cost of Rs12.914 billion.
These scheme were approved in the 11th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2016-17 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. According to spokesman for P&DD, Secretary P&DD Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
These approved development schemes included the scheme of road sector titled repair and rehabilitation of road from Silanwali to Chak No 58 / Janubi via 119 More, 126/SB, District Sargodha (Revised) at the cost of Rs1.039 billion, the schemes of health sector included Integrated Reproductive Maternal Newborn & Child Health & Nutrition Programme at the cost of Rs9.9 billion and Prevention and Control of Hepatitis B&C in Punjab at the cost of Rs1.997 billion. —Correspondent
