Clerk arrested for taking bribe

LAHORE
Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab Tuesday claimed to have arrested a clerk of Excise & Taxation Department for taking bribe.
According to ACE Circle Officer Zubair Ikhlaq, the accused clerk, Fazal Din, was arrested when he was taking bribe of Rs 15, 000 from a complainant, Muhammad Gulzar, for correction of property tax.
The CO said Fazal earlier had taken Rs 10,000 from Gulzar in the same case. An FIR has been registered.
Accidents: At least 584 road accidents were reported to the Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service, Rescue 1122, from all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
