Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry flays Quetta tragedy
FAISALABAD: The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) president Ch Muhammad Nawaz has expressed sorrow and grief over the tragedy of Quetta.
In a statement issued here on Monday, he said that such terrorist activities could not stop the progress of the country. The FCCI president said that anti-Pakistan elements were directly involved in such acts, which were hostile to the progress and prosperity in Pakistan. He said that it was a war between the pro-development and anti-development elements.
He claimed that some political elements were also playing in the hands of anti-state elements, adding that intentionally or unintentionally they want to stop the wheel of progress set into the motion by the hard work of this government during the last three years. He said that the political parties should display political maturity and defy all those elements that were hostile to the development of the country. Ch Muhammad Nawaz said that the present government was earnestly undertaking the gigantic CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) and energy-related projects to root-out the menace of loadshedding from the country. Similarly, he added, the projects of Pak-Iran gas pipeline, CASA-1000 and TAPI like multi-national projects were also underway at different stages but some hidden hands were hatching conspiracies to sabotage these mega ventures aimed to make this region fully developed. He said that the people of Pakistan were politically mature and fully understands the real objective of these elements. He urged upon the government to expose those elements which were creating unrest in Balochistan.
