ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Nisar Muhammad has said that important changes were being made in the system of sales tax.
He said that sales tax electronic system was being made effective and scrutiny of invoice would be carried out through electronic system and as a result of this it would help FBR in getting annual total revenue target which had been fixed at Rs3,621 billion.
Chairman FBR expressed these views during special interview with The News on Saturday night. He said that FBR had initiated administrative steps under the policies given by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar during Financial budget 2016-17. He said that during current year FBR would have to collect 16 percent more against Rs3,114 billion revenue target and he directed all the field formations to make utmost efforts in this regard.
