Teachers, parents warn of protest
LAHORE
Teachers and the parents association of Pak-Turk International Schools and Colleges have demanded the government not to hand over the schools to any organisation as the fate of 11,000 students and 2,000 teachers will be at stake.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, they warned to move court and observed that they would also protest. They said thee schools were not being run by the Turkish government but rather 1,200 Pakistanis and 134 Turkish philanthropists were running the education system in Pakistan.
UET: University of Engineering and Technology’s first ever two open days for the prospective students concluded on Saturday.
UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid termed the event successful. He said thousand of prospective students visited the university and got information about various programmes, fee and admission procedure.
The VC congratulated Prof Dr Muhammad Pervaiz Mughal and his team on successfully organising the event.
