SI dismissed for bribery

MULTAN: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sultan Azam Taimuri on Thursday dismissed a sub-inspector from service on charges of receiving bribery from a man.
According to Professional Standard Unit inquiry, SI Hubdar Hussain, of Lodhran city police, misappropriated the cell phone and received Rs45,000 from complainant Safdar Shahzad.
Talking to reporters, the Regional Police Officer said the PSU was created to eliminate corruption from the department.
