LHC asked to extend service tenure of army chief, corps commanders

LAHORE: A petition was filed with the Lahore High Court (LHC) with the plea to give four-year extension in the service tenure of army chief and corps commanders.
Rana Ilmudin Ghazi advocate filed the petition in which it was stated that the army chief had eliminated 90% terrorists through Zarb-e-Azb operation and, therefore, extension in the service tenure of army chief and corps commanders was inevitable.
It further pleaded that order should be passed to give four-year extension in the service tenure of army chief and corps commanders in the best interest of the nation and country.
