Three POs, six Afghans arrested in Mardan
MARDAN: The police on Wednesday arrested three proclaimed offenders (POs) and six Afghan nationals and also recovered arms and ammunition in different parts of the district.
Shafiullah Khan Gandapur, superintendent of police (SP) operation, told reporters that a team conducted raids on directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad.
The raiding team also checked data of 72 suspicious people, more than 200 motorbikes, over 300 houses and several cases were registered against owners of houses and tenants for not registering them in the concerned police stations.
The official added that the police recovered one Kalakov rifle, six pistols, one shotgun and 200 rounds of different bore from their possession. Separate cases were lodged at police stations concerned.
