Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart and chairman-elect of Union Council, Bijnial, Rawalpindi district, Shaheen Akbar Khan has asked Pakistan People’s Party, leader, Latif Khosa to stop criticising Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

“If Khosa does not halt his barrage of allegations, the PML-N workers will go to a court,” Shaheen Akbar said in a statement.

He said that Chaudhry Nisar has an unblemished character throughout his political career and was a daring leader, who was in the habit of straight talk without any fear. He said that the interior minister has always followed politics of principles, which his opponents abhor.

Shaheen Akbar said that everyone knows that Chaudhry Nisar was trusted comrade of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who remained steadfast during the dictatorial rule of Pervez Musharraf.

He said nothing could be more wild and preposterous than accusing that the banners, inviting imposition of martial law, were displayed on the orders of the interior minister. He said those responsible for churning out this material were behind bars.

Shaheen Akbar that Khosa has levelled allegations against Chaudhry Nisar just to cover up the massive corruption of his top leaders. He charged that it was because of their loot and plunder that people of Pakistan rejected them in the 2013 general elections, and more recently in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir polls.
