In order to redress the grievances of overseas Pakistanis, the decision by the Punjab government to establish overseas police stations is certainly a welcome step as it will help mitigate the sufferings of overseas Pakistanis.
It is pertinent to mention here that since its formation, the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) has been playing a proactive role in resolving issues faced by overseas Pakistanis. It has also taken many initiatives for the progress and prosperity of overseas Pakistanis including setting up committees at the district level to address their problems. It is hoped that the government will remain committed in its efforts to help reduce the plight of overseas Pakistanis and will take all necessary steps to promote their rights.
