Islamabad: The Board of Governors of the International Islamic University approved fresh appointments to the varsity and promotion of teachers and officers.
The approval came during the board's 79th meeting, which took place on the Faisal Masjid campus of the university.
Rector Professor Dr. Masoom Yasinzai chaired the meeting, where IIUI President Dr. Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh was also in attendance.
The board members present in the meeting were Senator Nuzhat Sadiq, Justice (r) Khalilur Rehman, HEC chairman's representative Altaf Ali Sheikh, Quaid-i-Azam University Vice Chancellor Dr. Javed Ahraf, former professor of Islamic Studies at the AIOU Dr. Idris Zubair, IIU Vice President Dr. Mohammad Bashir Khan and representative of the Ministry of Education M Taimur Khan.
The participants reviewed various agenda items regarding administrative matters of the university.
They expressed satisfaction with the IIU’s functioning and suggested measures to further enhance the progress of the university.
Meanwhile, the Royal Thai Embassy organised a free medical camp on the IIU main campus.
