Hassan Mansha appointed Brazilian honorary consul general
LAHORE: Lalpir Power Ltd Chairman Mian Hassan Mansha has been appointed as the Honorary Consul General of Brazil in Lahore by His Excellency Claudio Raja Gabaglia Lins, ambassador of Brazil to Pakistan.
The appointment was officially conducted during a formal ceremony, during which the national flags of both Brazil and Pakistan were raised to commemorate the strong ties of friendship between the two countries.
A Head Office of Nishat Power Ltd has been established as the office of the newly-appointed consul general.
Lins said that he expects to promote trade ties between the two countries, as he comes from a well-respected business family.
“I would be glad if we succeed in increasing Pakistan’s export to Brazil,” he said, adding that the economies of Pakistan and Brazil are complimentary and bilateral trade flows between the two does not hurt their economies.
He said he looks forward to strengthening trade and economic relations between the two countries, besides promoting social and cultural activities.
The newly-appointed honorary consul general thanked the Brazilian ambassador for reposing confident in him and highlighted the vast opportunities of commerce, cultural exchange and mutual cooperation among the two countries.
Mansha has over 10 years of professional managerial experience. Presently, he is serving on the Board of Nishat Mills Limited, Security General Insurance Company Limited, Pakistan Aviators and Aviation (Private) Limited, Adamjee Insurance Company Limited and Lalpir Power Limited.
