A student of grade five allegedly committed suicide inside his residence in Sindhi Goth, situated within the jurisdiction of the Bin Qasim police station, on Sunday.
Eleven-year-old Chander, son of Veerji, hung himself from a ceiling fan after his parents told him that he was to be sent back to Tharparker where he studied as summer vacations had ended.
His body was taken to an area hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival. The family took the body without completion of medico-legal formalities.
