Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, addressing a meeting through video link, said that Saaf Pani Project is of vital importance for the people, and work should be carried out on the project in a professional manner.
He said that provision of clean drinking water was among the top priorities of the government. He said that the project was directly linked with the human health and would be completed speedily.
Provincial Minister for Housing Tanvir Aslam Malik, the Punjab Saaf Pani Company chairman, the housing secretary and other officers concerned attended the meeting at Civil Secretariat while MPA Engineer Qamar-uz-Zaman participated from Rawalpindi through video link. The meeting also reviewed the progress on the project.
Swedish ambassador: Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Ms Ingrid Johansson met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday.
Bilateral relations and cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting.
Talking to the Swedish ambassador, the chief minister said there were strong friendly relations between Pakistan and Sweden, however, there was a need for taking steps for promotion of cooperation between the two countries in different sectors.
