repair: National Transmission and Desptach Company Limited (NTDC)  Managing Director Dr Fiaz Ahmad Chaudhry has directed the NTDC engineers to complete the rehabilitation work of eight damaged towers of 500 kV Gakhar-Lahore transmission line within the shortest possible time.

He directed them during his visit to the site where the rehabilitation work was  going on. Eight towers of the transmission line were destroyed in the first week of this month due to torrential rains and heavy windstorm near Hafizabad about 90 kilometres from Lahore. The NTDC MD appreciated the pace of work and commitment shown by the NTDC engineers and supporting staff, including the contractors. He directed early completion of the work so that the sufferings of Lesco, Gepco and Fesco consumers could be eased.

He asked GSO GM Sabaz Ali to compensate the farmers whose crops were damaged due to the rehabilitation work.
