Islamabad: The twin cities are buzzing with excitement as residents celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with full patriotic fervour today.
Streets, markets, and homes are adorned with green and white, while all the public buildings are illuminated with dazzling and decorative lights. Families and children are enthusiastically decorating their houses with national flags, while rooftops proudly display the Pakistan's Green and White National flag.
Local markets and roadside stalls are overflowing with Independence Day merchandise, including flags, green-and-white badges, patriotic accessories, and specially designed T-shirts.
Shopping malls and brands have announced special Azadi discounts and week-long sales, attracting large crowds. Public enthusiasm is equally visible in the preparations for various festivities.
Defence exhibitions, air force flypasts, cultural shows, and fireworks are planned to mark the occasion.
