ISLAMABAD: In response to the rising wave of terrorism and the worsening law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced the convening of a Grand Jirga. The Jirga will bring together leaders of all political parties, tribal elders, civil society representatives, and other stakeholders to formulate joint recommendations and a unified course of action.

This decision was made during an important meeting held here on Thursday, chaired by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman. The meeting focused on the alarming security situation in the province. JI KP Southern Ameer Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, KP Northern Ameer Inayatullah Khan, KP Central Ameer Abdul Wasay and Hazara region Ameer Abdul Razzaq Abbasi attended the meeting. Jamaat-e-Islami leadership expressed grave concern over the resurgence of terrorism, target killings, growing public insecurity, and the apparent failure of the government to maintain peace.

The leaders emphasized that the people of KP have long borne the brunt of violence and conflict, and sustainable peace is their fundamental right. Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman affirmed that the party stands firmly with the people of KP and will raise its voice at every forum to ensure the protection of their lives and property.
