ISLAMABAD: The Institution of Engineers Pakistan Rawalpindi- Islamabad Centre (IEP-RIC) has decided to upgrade its infrastructure network to expand and improve their ongoing efforts to enhance professional capacity of the engineering community, particularly the newcomers in the field.
It will construct its own building in the federal capital to streamline the activities that are meant to improve working conditions of the engineering community. The process to this effect has been expedited.
IEP-RIC’s Local Council’s has recently prepared a three-year roadmap to develop its linkage with academia, industries and NGOs to promote professional development of young engineers, through short-courses, lectures series and conferences.
The council led by its Chairman Hafiz M. Ehsan Qazi had also decided to promote national and international collaboration and enhance their membership.The council’s building committee at its meeting held here opened bids of consultancy charges for the construction of new IEP-RIC building received from four different firms. Chairman Building Committee Engineer Abdurrab gave a detail briefing to members on the construction’s process.
The members included Engineer Ch. Sikandar Hayat, Engineer Colonel (retd) Abdur Rashid Bangash, Engineer Ahmad Shamim, Engineer Qudrat Ullah and Engineer Shafiq-ur-Rehman. The Committee also discussed and finalized the lease agreement of IEP-RIC existing building.
