Training
LAHORE
Under training cadets of different provinces celebrated Eid-ul-Fiter at the National Centre of Excellence by engaging them in hands-on-practice of disaster management training.
The Disaster Response Force stationed at Emergency Services Academy along with trained rescuers remained on high alert during Eid holidays for response to any major incident in Pakistan. The DG said that in the wake of upcoming monsoon and flood season, the cadets celebrated their Eid at the academy by organising different activities of specialised flood management training to rescue and extricate emergency victims from confined deep places and debris through scuba diving and boats’ operations. Furthermore, a “Bara Khana” was also arranged on Eid days. He appreciated their zeal of celebrating Eid at the academy in connection with preparation for better response during any disaster especially possible floods. He said that rescuers should remain alert round-the-clock because they had to come up to the expectations of the public and maintain the standard of service delivery.
