Three suspects held for killing transgenders in Pindi

RAWALPINIDI: The police have arrested three persons late night Sunday involved in the killing of three eunuchs at Moti Mahel Chowk about a couple of months back, police sources said.The Waris Khan police have arrested Haji Abbas, Naveed Bhatti and Kamran alias Don from Ariya Mohallah and Kohistan Colony.The police said that the suspects have disclosed the identities of other seven members of the gang.

Soldier killed in SWA militant attack
WANA: A soldier was killed and three others sustained critical injuries in attack by the militants in the SWA on Sunday. The militants attacked a security forces check-post in Shakai subdivision in which one soldier was killed while three others were wounded. The forces have launched a search operation.

Minor girl among three drown in canal
SUKKUR: Three, including a ten-year-old girl, identified as Rabia, drowned on Sunday in the Gaddu Shaakh near village Mahmood Abad, while she was enjoying a dip in the cool water of the canal near her village in the jurisdiction of Rustum Police Station.
In another incident, a student of Cadet College, Falak Sher Khaskheli drowned in Mirwah Canal while he was swimming. In yet another incident a girl Sumaira Shahani drowned in Baqirani Canal. Local divers recovered all the bodies. — Correspondent

Man kills wife over Karo-Kari
SUKKUR: An accused tortured to death his pregnant wife near here on Sunday. According to reports the incident took place in the limits of Tando Bago. The accused Allah Dino Pathan suspected his pregnant wife Laila of being involved in Karo Kari and tortured her to death. Police shifted the body to a local hospital, but failed to arrest the killer. — Correspondent

Bootlegger held in Lahore
LAHORE: South Cantt police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 240 litre liquor from his possession. He was identified as Ashiq Masih. Police arrested the accused from R A Bazaar. — Correspondent

Heatstroke claims three lives in Lahore

LAHORE: Three persons were found dead in various parts of the city on Sunday. Police recovered three persons dead from the areas of Lower Mall, Bhati Gate and Ichhara. Police claimed that all the three had died of heatstroke.
