JUIF stands for supremacy of Constitution, law: Fazl
Fazl says his party will continue its struggle to make Pakistan an Islamic democratic state
ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman Friday said his party stood for the supremacy of the Constitution and law and will not allow a lobby in the country to weaken the Islamic values.
He was addressing a gathering at the residence of Farrukh Khokhar, who announced to join the JUIF along with his community.
The development marked the end of years-long association of Khokhar community’s association with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Fazl said his party will continue its struggle to make Pakistan an Islamic democratic state adding that he had been raising his voice for achieving the same objective at every forum.
He said Pakistan was achieved in the name of Islam and there would be no compromise on the country’s ideological boundaries.
Commenting on the country’s economic condition, Fazl observed that there could be no progress without improving the life of the common man.
He was confident that Farrukh’s decision will strengthen the JUIF and give impetus to the party’s struggle.
Farrukh Khokhar said his father Imtiaz Khokhar was affiliated with the PPP but he was impressed by Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s speech on Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (SAW) and decided to join the JUIF along with his community. He said Fazl also supported the during recent conflict with India.
