HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Monday organised a protest demonstration outside the Hyderabad Press Club against the ongoing US and Israeli aggression and bombings on Iran.

The protest was led by JI Hyderabad District Emir Hafiz Tahir Majeed. JI leaders Aqeel Ahmed Khan, Abdul Qayyum Shaikh, Muhammad Hanif Shaikh and Irfan Qaimkhani as well as provincial leader of the Shia Ulema Council Syed Moazzam Shah Jehanian addressed the protest and condemned the attacks on Iran.

The protesters carried placards and chanted slogans against what they termed open terrorism by the US and its allies. In his speech, Majeed said the United States was the biggest terrorist in the world as it was backing Israel in its massacre of Muslims in the Palestine.

He condemned the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them a blatant violation of the international law, human rights and United Nations Charter. He added that after committing atrocities in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was now targeting Iran. The Pakistani nation stood firmly with Iran, which had humbled the arrogance of the US and Israel, he said.
