Jazz, British Council, Tech Valley join forces to expand digital learning

LAHORE: Jazz has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the British Council and Tech Valley -- Google for Education’s official partner in Pakistan -- to expand access to digital education, capacity building and social development initiatives nationwide.

The agreement marks the beginning of a two-year collaboration focused on bridging Pakistan’s digital and educational divides. Under the partnership, Jazz will leverage its extensive digital infrastructure and nationwide reach to deliver inclusive, technology-enabled learning programmes that support Pakistan’s socio-economic development goals.

The MoU outlines joint efforts in areas such as teacher training, youth capacity building, and the design of ed-tech interventions tailored to underserved communities. Group Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer at Jazz Syed Zaheer Mehdi said that access to quality education should not be limited by geography, gender or circumstance. “This partnership reflects our commitment to using digital technology to unlock human potential -- especially for youth and women in underserved areas,” he said.

Country Director of the British Council Pakistan James Hampson noted: “This partnership brings together three organisations that want Pakistan to succeed.
