Call to save children from diseases
HAFIZABAD: District Health Officer Dr Faiq Ali has said that by changing human behavior we can save our children from various diseases.
The government was providing immunizations and free vaccination facilities to improve the health of children and protect them from many diseases, including polio, typhoid, whooping cough, measles, he told here on Sunday.
He said that now it was our duty to get our children vaccinated to protect them from various dangerous diseases and not be a part of any negative propaganda in this regard.The Punjab Health Department would launch a regular campaign in October to protect girls aged nine to fourteen from various diseases, he told.For this campaign, special awareness was being created among the public so that young girls can be protected from diseases through this vaccination, he added.
BADMINTON: Hafizabad girls badminton team won the championship by defeating Bahawalpur in the Chief Minister Summer Games.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq gave a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to the winning team. The players of the winning team met Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq on the occasion. DPO Muhammad Atif Nazir, Education CEO Muhammad Akram Ashraf, District Sports Officer Saima Razzaq and others were also present.
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq congratulated the students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vinay Tard and Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School, Hafizabad, on winning the Summer Games Badminton Championship and said that the success in the Summer Games was a result of hard work of these players and their coach.
