Election for chess federation’s SVP on July 7
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has officially announced schedule for the election of the Senior Vice President of the Chess Federation of Pakistan.
The election process will be conducted in accordance with the Constitution of the Pakistan Sports Board (2022), the National Sports Policy (2005), the Sports Election Regulations (2024), and the Constitution of the Chess Federation of Pakistan.
According to the notification issued by the PSB Election Commission, affiliated provincial associations, departments, and relevant organisations can submit their nominations for voters and contesting candidates to the Election Commission by June 26, 2025.
The scrutiny of submitted documents will take place on June 27, after which the provisional voter list and initial list of candidates will be released. Objections to the lists can be filed until June 30, while the final voter list and confirmed list of candidates will be issued on July 2 after decisions on the objections. As per the schedule, the polling, a key stage of the election process, will be held on July 7, at 11:00am in the Committee Room of the Pakistan Sports Board.
