Health deptt employees observe strike

Islamabad : Under the banner of the Federal Health Alliance, all health department employees — including staff from PIMS, the DHO office, Polyclinic, NIRM, NIH, and the TB Hospital — observed a partial strikehere on Friday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, suspending all OPD services for two hours. The purpose of this protest is the restoration of the Health Allowance, which has been frozen since 2015.

The employees maintain that they will continue partial strikes on Friday and Saturday. If the higher authorities fail to take notice, a complete strike, sit-in, or long march may follow, with a final decision to be made jointly in the Alliance’s meeting on Monday.

The protest will continue until the Health Allowance is fully restored. The responsibility for the inconvenience faced by patients lies entirely with the senior officials and the Ministry of Finance.
