Punjab govt to set up 2,000 charging stations for e-buses

The meeting was attended by the secretaries of the health and transport departments, and the CEO of Lahore Waste Management Company, while the LDA Director General, divisional commissioners, and all deputy commissioners participated virtually.
The chief secretary directed the deputy commissioners to identify appropriate sites in their districts for setting up charging stations and bus depots. Reaffirming the government’s priorities, the chief secretary said that the improved governance and healthcare services remain at the forefront of the provincial agenda.
He noted that the exemplary cleanliness measures implemented during Eid-ul-Azha reflected the administration’s commitment to efficient service delivery, adding that the administrative officers are required to maintain and build upon these standards through continued diligence.
The chief secretary underscored the need to eradicate corruption in the Revenue Department, terming it a fundamental responsibility of deputy commissioners and a crucial step in providing relief to the general public. He also called for the swift completion of land record computerisation and issued directives for effective measures against stray dog bite incidents.
