Abbasi orders making railway station escalators operational by 25th
LAHORE : Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Friday visited Lahore Railway Station and Mughalpura carriage shop.
The minister reviewed the progress of escalator’s installation at Lahore Railway Station and ordered making it operational for passengers by June 25. He also inspected cleanliness standards and food quality at the railway station. Talking to reporters, Abbasi said facilities for passengers would be improved further.
Later, he visited the Mughalpura Carriage Shop and inspected newly arrived air-conditioning units meant for coaches. The minister said amenities promised in tickets must be ensured for passengers. He asked authorities concerned to expedite the installation of AC units in coaches. PR Chief Executive Officer Aamir Ali Baloch also accompanied the minister.
