PTI urges OIC, global community to counter Israel-India nexus
Akram stresses evil nexus was laid bare during recent Indo-Pak war, when Israel openly and fully backed Hindutva regime
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram Thursday stressed the need for the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and other peace-loving nations to play their proactive role in breaking Israel-India nexus.
“Nations such as China may play a more assertive and proactive role in breaking the evil nexus and countering the dangerous alliance between the supremacist Indian regime and the Zionist Israeli government,” he stated in a statement issued here.
He warned that these notorious states posed a persistent threat to the global peace and stability, and that they must be confronted collectively to ensure a secure and harmonious world order.
Waqas Akram alerted that the war-mongering and fascist regimes of India and Israel were aggressively pursuing expansionist and imperialist agendas by unleashing genocidal violence, showing little regard for humanity or adherence to international law.
He also stressed that the evil nexus was laid bare during the recent Indo-Pak war, when Israel openly and fully backed the Hindutva regime. However, he noted it were the Indian forces that bit the dust, as the Pakistan Army, especially the Air Force, inflicted a humiliating drubbing on them.
The PTI spokesman underlined that Pakistan, as the sole nuclear power in the Muslim world, should take the Parliament into confidence regarding its policy on the Israel-Iran conflict, and must play a leading role in uniting Muslim countries and engaging the international community to put an end to the unchecked, unprovoked and brutal Israeli aggression against Iran.
He urged the OIC to develop a unified and resolute strategy to rein in the unbridled, oppressive Israeli state, stressing that this was a “now or never” moment, where silence and an apologetic approach were no longer viable options.
Waqas recalled that India has been committing war crimes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) for over 70 years, while the Zionist regime has been carrying out the massacre of helpless Palestinians for decades. Unfortunately, he added that neither the OIC nor the United Nations has taken any meaningful action to stop the bloodshed.
He lamented that the Muslim world’s silence and the UN’s inaction had only emboldened these terrorist states to intensify their activities in pursuit of their nefarious designs, without any fear of accountability or consequences.
However, the PTI spokesman stressed that Pakistan must urge OIC member states to set aside their trivial differences and build a broader consensus to confront the unbridled aggression of the belligerent Israeli state, which has been martyring Palestinians with impunity and has now launched an unprovoked attack on Iran.
Waqas said that the government must recognise the gravity of the situation, put its own house in order, and immediately end its ongoing policy of political vendetta and retribution.
He again demanded the immediate release of PTI founder chairman Imran Khan, along with other political prisoners who were unlawfully detained and languishing in jail under fabricated, baseless and politically-motivated charges.
Waqas blasted the regime, alleging the rulers have wrecked all state institutions and reduced them to powerless and dysfunctional entities by appointing compromised and blue-eyed individuals to top positions.
