Cops warned against delays in FIR registration

LAHORE:The DIG Operations Wednesday issued a stern warning to police officers regarding delays in FIR registration and response to emergencies, stating, 'Assist the complainant on time or go home.'
In an open court session at his office, Kamran instructed Station House Officers (SHOs) via video link to address public complaints without delay. He emphasized that any SHO failing to respond swiftly to at least 15 emergency calls will be removed from their position. The session focused on addressing a range of complaints, including financial disputes, fraud, altercations, and civic issues.
