LAHORE:Partly cloudy and hot weather was recorded in the City here on Wednesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions with chances of scattered rain and wind/dust storm during the next 24 hours.
Met officials warned that very hot weather was expected in most plain areas of the country from Wednesday till Friday. They advised the general public especially children, women and senior citizens to take precautionary measures by avoiding exposure to direct sunlight during the day time especially during peak sunshine hours and stay safe and hydrated.
Met officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country while very hot during day time in plain areas.
Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Mithi, Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Islamkot, Diplo and Kotli. Wednesday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Jacobabad and Mohen-Jo-Daro where mercury reached 46°C while in Lahore, it was 40°C with real feel of 43°C.
