Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said on Tuesday that leveling accusations against the Sindh government for political point-scoring during the budget session has become a routine habit of Hafiz Naeem.

He said the Jamaat-e-Islami chief’s remarks about “Nura Kushti” are, in fact, a reflection of his own political irrelevance. Reacting to a statement of the JI leader, Sindh Senior Minister and Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon said the provincial government had always given top priority to the education sector.

He added that no government in history had taken as many concrete steps for the improvement of education and healthcare as the Pakistan Peoples Party had. Memon said the development work being carried out in the sectors of education, health, water, and infrastructure in Sindh was not the result of any Nura Kushti, but a testament to the PPP’s consistent commitment to public service.

He stressed that if Hafiz Naeem were genuinely concerned about the state of education in Sindh, he would have questioned why, despite the 18th Amendment, the federal government had failed to release Sindh’s rightful share of funds on time. Senior Minister Memon said Sindh’s education budget is not just reflected in figures but is evident on the ground through the rehabilitation of schools, recruitment of teachers, and various educational programs.

He suggested that Hafiz Naeem should adopt a constructive approach for the betterment of the people of Sindh instead of indulging in the politics of baseless accusations.
