PHC extends Gandapur’s protective bail

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Monday extended the protective bail of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur until July 3 and sought a report about the cases registered against him.
A bench comprising Justice Wiqar Ahmad and Justice Dr Khurshid Iqbal heard the petition filed by Gandapur seeking details of the cases against him.During the proceedings, Gandapur’s counsel, Basheer Khan Wazir Advocate, informed the court that the petitioner, being the sitting chief minister, was unable to appear due to official commitments and had submitted an application seeking exemption from personal appearance.
