Scattered rain lowers mercury in City

LAHORE:Cloudy weather with scattered rain brought down the mercury in the City here on Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Met officials said moist currents were approaching central and southern parts of the country while a westerly wave was also present over upper/central parts and likely to persist during next 24 hours. They predicted that partly cloudy weather with dust/thunderstorm-rain was likely at isolated places in North-East Punjab, Kashmir, GB, Upper KP and South-East/Eastern Sindh. Monday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Turbat where mercury reached 47°C, while in Lahore, it was 36°C.
