Man kills wife over domestic dispute

LAHORE : A man killed his 30-year-old wife during a domestic dispute in the limits of Kot Lakhpat police on Saturday.

The victim was identified as Farhana, a resident of Gate No. 5 of Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate. The accused allegedly struck Farhana on the head with a stone in a fit of rage, causing her death on the spot. Upon receiving the report, police reached the scene, arrested the accused, and shifted the body to the morgue via Edhi ambulance. An investigation is underway.

Two brothers injured in firing incident

A minor quarrel between children escalated into violence in the Kahna area, where two brothers were injured in a firing incident near Sadhar village.

According to police, the suspects —identified as Irfan, Faisal, and others —opened fire following a previous altercation involving the children. Saddam and Nadeem, who sustained injuries in the attack, were shifted to General Hospital for treatment.

Dacoit shot dead by own accomplices

In yet another alleged encounter by the Crime Control Department (CCD), a detained dacoit was shot dead by his own accomplices in the Kahna area. According to CCD sources, the slain dacoit, identified as Nasir Iqbal, was involved in multiple serious crimes. Police had taken him to the Kahna police limits for recovery when his armed accomplices, already lying in wait, opened fire in an attempt to free him.
