36 complainants get relief on ombudsperson’s orders
LAHORE:On the orders of the Office of the Ombudsperson Punjab, 36 complainants were provided a relief amounting to Rs40.958 million.
They had filed complaints for correction in Wasa bills and property areas as well as clearance of sewerage lines in different districts of the province. According to the Ombudsperson’s office, 18 Wasa complainants were provided a relief amounting to Rs1.377 million. Around 12 complaints regarding clearance of sewerage lines were redressed and work was completed at a cost of Rs13.9 million.
On a complaint, the area of land measuring 31 Kanals worth Rs14.5 million was corrected in Nankana Sahib, while repair work in a park in Lahore was completed at a cost of Rs2.635 million.
Moreover, a sum of Rs600,000 was spent on de-silting of a drain in Nawabpur, Sargodha on orders of the Ombudsperson. In addition, three drinking water supply lines were completed after incurring an amount of Rs7.946 million. The complainants thanked the Ombudsperson for intervention that resulted in provision of relief.
