Best health facilities CM’s vision, says Salman

LAHORE:Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited the Lab and Diagnostic Centre of Punjab Institute of Cardiology where he reviewed the medical facilities. On this occasion, the minister said that the facilities were discussed with the patients and staff.

According to the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, efforts are being made to provide the best health facilities to the people. For the convenience of the patients, more facilities will be provided in the Lab and Diagnostic Centre of Punjab Institute of Cardiology. Cleanliness should also be improved in the Lab and Diagnostic Centre. MS Dr Aamir Rafique Butt was also present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, on Eidul Azha, more than 3,000 patients were provided medical facilities at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC). According to the details, 188 patients underwent angiography/angioplasty, 6,648 blood reports, 42 were admitted to ICU and 11 patients were given temporary pacemakers. MS Dr Amir Rafique Butt has said that efforts are being made for the convenience of patients at PIC.

10,033 patients avail free medical facilities in LGH on Eid

Around 10,033 patients were provided with free medical facilities in the General Hospital Emergency Department without any interruption and without any fee slip during the Eid holidays. While 2,047 X-rays, 621 ultrasounds and 513 CT scans of patients were performed.

Amiruddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr M Farooq Afzal and LGH MS Dr Faryad Hussain said that under the guidance of Provincial Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education department Khawaja Salman Rafique, health professionals are alert to provide quality medical facilities to patients and they will continue to fulfill their professional responsibilities in the future as well.

MS Dr Faryad Hussain briefed AMC Principal that free dialysis was done for patients suffering from kidney diseases, treatment was also ongoing in the women and children deparment.
