MQM-P worker shot at Liaquatabad teashop dies

Karachi: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) member who was wounded in a firing incident at a teashop near Al-Karam Square in Liaquatabad on Wednesday night succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Thursday.
Thirty-eight-year-old Adeel Ali, also known as Ali Builder, was a father of five and an FC Area resident. He was an employee of the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board, and a member of the MQM-P’s Liaquatabad Town chapter. He also ran an RO plant in Block 4, Al-Karam Square.
According to police, four unidentified men on two motorbikes opened indiscriminate fire at the teashop before speeding away. Three other people also suffered injuries in the attack: Mustafa Saadat Ali, 35, Ashfaq Shafaat, 58, and Abdul Khaliq, 22.
