Online cattle buying, selling made possible
LAHORE:In line with the upcoming Eidul Azha, citizens across Punjab can now conveniently buy and sell sacrificial animals from the comfort of their homes through the e-Cattle Market App and Web Portal, developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for the Punjab Cattle Market Management and Development Company (PCMMDC).
This digital platform enables users to register online and directly interact with verified dealers. The system provides detailed information on each animal, including photos, videos, weight, and prices, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making. Additionally, it supports animal traceability, health monitoring, operational efficiency, and enhanced service delivery. PITB developed this system on the directions of the Punjab government to simplify livestock trading and enhance performance in the livestock sector. PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated that with the e-Cattle Market System, citizens can now avoid crowded cattle markets and purchase animals online with ease.
